Meet Tutor Claire
Claire Rodriguez
Hi! I'm Claire, the founder of Clairity Tutoring. I'm an experienced high school English teacher and college English professor with a Master's degree in Literature and Rhetoric & Composition. While I tutor multiple subjects, my first love is helping students discover the joy of reading, build confidence in writing, and find their unique voice.
For the past 10 years, I've worked with students from 3rd grade through graduate school in both one-on-one and small group settings. Over my 8 years in the classroom, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of native and non-native English learners strengthen their reading, literary analysis, and writing skills.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to fit each individual's needs. My experience working with a wide variety of learners—including students with learning disabilities—has helped me develop creative, effective strategies that make learning engaging and accessible. I believe learning should be fun because when students are interested and enjoying themselves, they're much more likely to learn and retain what they're being taught. That's why I strive to make every lesson interactive, encouraging, and enjoyable. Many of my students have improved by at least two letter grades while working with me.
Because I teach at both the high school and college levels, I also help students prepare for the expectations of college coursework, making the transition to higher education smoother and more confident.
I believe that the best results come from working together, so I enjoy partnering with parents to support each student's success.
